Very easy garden boxes

For those of you who are new to building projects like I was when I built these garden boxes, here is the lowdown of what I did:

Material List for One Garden Box:

  • 2″x10″: 4 pieces of wood cut into 4′ lengths. I just used untreated pine, but if you want it to last longer than a few seasons, try something like cedar.
  • ~12 3″ screws (outdoor grade)

I drilled in about 3 screws at each intersection of wood. Here is a schematic if you’re looking at the garden box from the top:


I was pretty proud of them for my first ever project. This year, I’m hoping to upgrade a little. I’ll post those plans as they are developed. 🙂
